The real power move is to know and progress on your own path, let me explain:

Words from me

My Background

Coming from a competitive sports background moving into being full-time involved in the yoga scene for 8+ years I’ve experienced and seen a fair share of failure, refining techniques, seeing how harmful some teachings can be, learning how bodies move, finding better ways and creating a path for myself that allows me to be free from external expectations that if unchecked become internal expectations.

My Work

Grounded in yoga therapy and with a biomechanical approach I work with functional drills for your yoga- and handstand practice with the goal to guide you as safely, meaningfully and effectively to where you want to be. Whether that ends up being in a handstand or simply a sense of greater self-determination in your practice. Outside of my work as teacher and mentor I founded Safer Yoga, a non-profit that serves as a place where we provide resources, tests and support routes about abuse cases in our industry.

My Mission

I want to see you free and with the tools you need to progress on your own path and in your own pose. I want to offer a space where I can provide tools for you to take. Teaching to me is more than just passing on knowledge and experience; it's also about protecting students and fellow teachers from the structural risks of abuse that this space holds by building the necessary infrastructure and services with fellow teachers and experts who, just like me, care deeply about this practice.

My work off the mat:
Fighting for higher standards in the yoga industry.

As founder of the nonprofit saferyoga.org, I'm building what is long overdue: A clear answer to the recurring abuse cases that are happening in our industry. Safer Yoga is offering resources for students and teachers and offers a reporting and support route for people who have experienced harm in yoga spaces.

Values

Practice Pillars

Being trusted with someone's practice and progress requires the teacher to acknowledge, treasure, and show respect towards that trust. These are the values that you can expect in my classes, workshops, and trainings.

Agency

Understanding your own body is the foundation of a sustainable practice. The work here gives you the tools to keep developing, without being dependent on a teacher in the room.

Integrity

A core principle of a successful practice. What I teach, I practice. What I ask of you, I hold myself to. Honest assessment, consistent standards, in every class, workshop, and training.

Precision

Small adjustments change outcomes dramatically. You are getting specific, clear guidance, not for perfection, but because vague instruction produces vague results.
